This old ad postcards sent by Laura (the UK) shows also the maps of the railways:

Postcards with railways always make me think of long and fantastic trips...

  1. Maps and trains, perfect, I could almost plan a trip. I like all the national symbols on the Europe card and a wry smile for our umbrella as it's raining here at the moment.

  2. There are lots of old postcards created from UK posters that were popular in the golden age of steam but I haven't seen that Summer and Winter resorts one before.

    1. Where are you going? Last summer I was travelling by train for the North of Spain and South of France, and it was a fantastic trip. Trains is France are comfortable and reliable, and really cheap for the service they offer!
